Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 2026

Who you are contracting with

TaxPal is provided by Bradley Morrison ("we", "us", "the seller"), trading in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or continuing to use TaxPal, you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 18 years old and, where you use it for a business, that you have authority to accept them.

What TaxPal is

TaxPal is a record-keeping tool for UK sole traders. It lets you log income and expenses, scan receipts, see an estimated tax figure, and prepare figures for your HMRC Self Assessment. TaxPal is not an accountant and does not provide tax, legal or financial advice. Estimates are indicative only; final figures come from HMRC, and you are responsible for checking your return before submitting it.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. That includes:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property;
  • interfering with the service's security, probing it, or scraping it;
  • attempting to reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

The AI assistant only records figures you give it, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and confirm.

Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your details accurate and up to date.

Intellectual property

We own TaxPal, including its software, design and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active. You keep ownership of the data and receipt images you add; you give us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe processes all payments, handles billing, tax and receipts, and supports returns for orders placed through TaxPal.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled through Stripe's secure checkout and billing tools. You can cancel anytime from Settings; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Service availability

We work hard to keep TaxPal running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, or create a security or fraud risk.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits, data or goodwill). Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Ending your account

You can stop using TaxPal at any time. When your subscription ends, your data is kept for a reasonable period so you can export it, after which it may be deleted.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in the app.
