TaxPolio is provided by Bradley Morrison ("we", "us", "the seller"), trading in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or continuing to use TaxPolio, you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 18 years old and, where you use it for a business, that you have authority to accept them.

TaxPolio is a record-keeping tool for UK sole traders. It lets you log income and expenses, scan receipts, see an estimated tax figure, and prepare figures for your HMRC Self Assessment. TaxPolio is not an accountant, tax agent or adviser, and nothing in the app — including anything written by the AI assistant — is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. It is general information and calculation support only.

This is important, so it is set out plainly. Every figure in TaxPolio — totals, estimated tax, National Insurance, category splits, deadline dates, receipt readings and anything the AI assistant produces — is generated automatically from the information you supply, and is an estimate for your own guidance only.

• You alone are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of your records and of any Self Assessment return, figure or declaration you submit to HMRC.
• You must check every figure yourself before you rely on it, submit it, or make any financial decision based on it.
• We do not verify your records, do not file anything with HMRC on your behalf, and are not your agent in any dealings with HMRC.
• We accept no responsibility or liability for any tax, National Insurance, interest, penalty, surcharge, enquiry, assessment, overpayment, underpayment or other loss arising from figures produced in, or relied on from, TaxPolio — including where those figures are wrong, incomplete, out of date, or based on an incorrect reading of a receipt or invoice, or an error or omission in tax rates, thresholds, rules or deadlines shown in the app.
• Tax rules, rates and deadlines change. We make no warranty that the app reflects the current position, and HMRC's own published rules and figures always take precedence over anything shown here.

You must not misuse the service. That includes:

• using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive;
• infringing anyone's intellectual property;
• interfering with the service's security, probing it, or scraping it;
• attempting to reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

The AI assistant only records figures you give it, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and confirm.

Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your details accurate and up to date.

We own TaxPolio, including its software, design and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active. You keep ownership of the data and receipt images you add; you give us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you.

Our order process is conducted by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe processes all payments, handles billing, tax and receipts, and supports returns for orders placed through TaxPolio.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled through Stripe's secure checkout and billing tools. You can cancel anytime from Settings; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

We work hard to keep TaxPolio running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, or create a security or fraud risk.

The service, and every figure and estimate it produces, is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability, and we are not liable for any tax, National Insurance, interest, penalties, HMRC enquiries, or for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits, data or goodwill). Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can stop using TaxPolio at any time. When your subscription ends, your data is kept for a reasonable period so you can export it, after which it may be deleted.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in the app.
