TaxPal is provided by Bradley Morrison, trading in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

• Account details: name, email address, login credentials.
• Records you add: income and expense entries, categories, notes, tax year, trade and UTR number, plus receipt photographs you upload.
• Chat messages you send to the assistant, so the conversation can continue.
• Support messages you send us, and basic usage and device data (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the service secure and working.

• To create and run your account and provide the service (contract performance).
• To extract figures from your messages and receipts at your request.
• For security, fraud prevention and product improvement (legitimate interests).
• To respond to your support requests.
• To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.

• Service providers who host and operate the app, including our cloud database and storage provider and the AI service that reads your messages and receipts.
• Stripe, our payment provider, who processes your payment, manages your subscription, and handles tax and invoicing for purchases.
• Professional advisers (for example accountants or lawyers) where needed.
• Authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

We keep your data while your account is active. When it is no longer needed — for example after you delete your account — we delete or anonymise it, subject to records we must keep by law.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We respond to requests within one month. Contact us through the app to exercise any of these rights.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. Some of our service providers process data outside the UK; where that happens we rely on safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

TaxPal uses only essential cookies and storage needed to keep you signed in and the app working. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.
